Jasmine & Teli's Manly Pacific Wedding

Writer: Wendy ChungWendy Chung

A family heirloom that represents love and tradition. Jasmine's great-grandma wore this handmade veil, her grandma wore it too, and today, Jasmine rocked it on her wedding day. And I almost lost it at North Head.

Jasmine and Teli's wedding was a perfect mix of tradition, love, family, and fun.

From getting ready at Jasmine's grandma's place, to the Orthodox Greek wedding ceremony, to the crazy moments at North Head. We tried a veil toss but the wind caught it and sent it flying towards the ocean. My heart stopped, but thankfully it fell short and got snagged in a bush.

Note to self: don't toss heirlooms near cliffs!

The reception at the Manly Pacific was the ultimate Greek party.

A traditional bouzouki player got everyone up and dancing, and the Brown Sugar Band kept the dance floor packed all night. Plates were flying, ouzo was disappearing faster than socks in a dryer, and everyone was stomping around like they just found out the floor was lava—fun was had by all!
